Terrific app. Mine are just feature wishes. Would love for the play list not to get cleared when I exit the app so I could see which files I had recently played--that would make picking up where I left off in a series way easier.

Very impressed with the prompt response given and a quick fix, regarding a minor bug found. Such a useful app to have watching in my projector where I dont have an Apple remote and the sound system remote. Overall, a very satisfied customer :)

I prefer VLC Remote to the desktop VLC Player interface. All the usual features (incl. audio and subtitle track and delay) are right at your fingertips. Works better than Apples own Remote app. Just wish this could work with my Apple TV! The Apple Watch app, too, is better Apples remote app, in that you can raise your wrist and control VLC within a second, whereas the Remote app usually requires several seconds to reestablish a connection. November 11 update is snappier with iOS multitasking, allowing for even faster access to VLC from the lock screen, Notification Center, the app itself, or from Apple Watch!

Call me lazy but when I sit down to relax and watch tv I dont want to keep getting up and pausing the movie, picking a different file, or fixing the volume. This works perfect to keep me in my chair.

The best VLC remote out there. I have been using this app for years without any issues.

Previous versions would save where I left off at and would start back up there. This version isnt doing it for me.

I’ve been using VLC Remote for awhile now, both from my iPhone and my iPad. This has been a great set up to watch movies from a MacBook. Recently, my iPad would no longer connect, no matter what steps I tried in troubleshooting. I sent an email asking for support, never really expecting a response. Rob responded quickly and followed up to ensure my issue got resolved. Highly recommend!!

I absolutely love this app. It allows me to watch my VLC player (pc setup through my TV) from my bed, and I dont have to get up to change videos, pause, change the volume, whatever. I love it so much I bought the developers combo pack after trying the free version. Thanks for the great app man.

This was one of the earliest apps that I purchased with real monies clear back in iPhone 4 days. Im a techie living simply and I use my PC & 27" monitor as my TV. This app is my TV remote. I can search my collections, queue stuff up, control volume, pause/start/stop, speed stuff up, skip back or forwards, bookmark places, setup subtitles, etc... It can do everything my parents directv or fancy cable remotes can do while being a heckuva lot easier to figure out how to use. Its so simple that my mom could figure it out in a New York minute when she visited. There are more advanced functions that Ill admit were harder for me to figure out. For instance it took a long while to figure out how to search for & play YouTube videos using vlc remote but once I got the hang of it it was pretty sick. Setting up the VLC player on my computer side was kinda tough in the early days but since VLC (NOT this app, to be clear) matured and stopped patching itself every other week its not a big problem and the instructions through this app were pretty good. This app continues to add functionality too--recently it startled me by automatically pausing my show when I got an incoming call. I love this app!! It is definitely the best paid non-game app Ive purchased. Upon reflection I think VLC Remote was actually the first app or song I bought through iTunes and I do not regret that in the least. If I had to identify an aspect that could still use some work it would be that the UI & instructions still need a lot of work to improve the YouTube integration. Even so this app is a solid 5.5 stars out of 5.

This app is great! I just configured a Raspberry Pi with VLC for Linux and a hard drive with all my media files on it. Setup VLC Remote on my iPhone and iPad, life is good.
