This app is not doing what is written in the list, the DVD buttons are not working with any DVD I tried, my test are done with 3 different pc( Mac, windows and Linux) and with. More than 20 DVD. Do not buy it, still use the free or Vlcremco (free also)

With the new update VLC version it doesnt work. Vlc crashes as soon it is loaded. Please fix it!

This app works perfectly with the program. I love how you can browse your computer for media. Its a must to have this if you often use VLC player.

The fast forward and rewind are a little touchy. Id like simple gestures or buttons to tap or swipe to jump a certain number of seconds forward or back.

Id love to see more macros, but theyre not necessary to make this a 5 star app.

Every time I use VLC I open this app and it works flawlessly every time. Incredibly easy to find the right spot in a movie, and the user interface is spectacular. Worth the price!

This app has made a breeze out of running my media-connected machine attached to TV. One problem however, is that when my iPhone or iPad go into standby, upon wake, this app has moved to background. I dont know if this is being worked on or if development has ceased, but it would be great if this app could remain on the screen when I turn the device back on. Fifth star for that if it ever comes. Great, nevertheless!!!

I rarely leave reviews, in fact maybe 5 or 10 at most. This is one of my main go-to apps on my iPad and iPhone. I have never had an issue with this app and have had the same satisfaction with the "Off" app.

I use it almost daily to activate/deactivate subtitles, and to correct their timing. Also, sometimes, to select the video I want to see. And it performs all these tasks perfectly. But in order to do them the app must first connect to my computer, and once every ten sessions it fails completely (to the point where I cant use it in that whole session). It seems that the app doesnt see my computer. It doesnt help if I restart the app or VLC (and yes, Im on the same wifi network). This problem is not that annoying, so I havent tried restarting my Mac to see if that fixes the problem. I do recommend buying this app for the nine times out of ten that it works flawlessly.

run vlc on gnu/linux (or bsd, assuming any unix-like works) then in advanced settings under interface enable web/http and the built-in lua interface (set password there, default: vlcplayer) restart vlc player and open app, it auto discovers and scans your filesystem (without breaking permissions the vlc client has) so you can browse your media easily and also log in to youtube (temporarily necessary evil) through the app and play directly to vlc, which i never did before but do constantly now for On Cinema or whatever. perfect app, but if you use a proprietary OS / networking mechanism, i cheerfully have no idea whether it will work as well for you, take this opportunity to switch to gnu/linux. thank you developers, i will find you and send you some btc or usd or whatever for this!
