VLC Remote Pro! App Reviews

I have looked around for an app that does just what I need. Phone control of VLC Media Player is nice, but I wanted watch control too - and this app delivers. So long as VLC is open on your PC (which it should be anyways if youre watching something) you can control the player with your phone or watch. To make it better, you can use your phone to find more videos on your system if you know where theyre located, and play them with ease. Definitely worth the money, especially when it does on the Apple watch what others cant.

Great app, a must have if youre a regular VLC user

This app allows me to control my Mac OS VLC application without mouse or keyboard. It also has most essential features of the desktop application available for use on my iOS device.

Im a regular VLC user, so this is the best! Little wonky with the setup, but worth it in the long run.

This app has everything I was looking for. Love that I can search through folders to find what to play next.

Would be even more stars if it could construct playlists. As is, make the playlists in VLC ahead of time. This app handles them well otherwise. Very happy with it. Happy with support. Really like the control afforded by Advanced features.

Great for controlling movies from your Mac computer. You can basically turn your Mac into a media player and this is your remote.

Ive been using this app for awhile now and love it, but this last update was horrible. Every time I turn off the screen and after a few minutes turn it back on it has to re-connect to VLC. Before the last update it wasnt like that and would always stay connected.

It used to not be able to connect to my MPB 14" retina, Ill check back with this new update. Im aware of the setup helper, but I shouldnt have to be using every single time I wish to watch videos using VLC. Hopefully this issue has been resolved; will check back.

This is a wonderful app. Works flawlessly as a vlc remote, and the new expiremental headset mode is amazing! It works very well, makes it so I can enjoy the surround sound of a movie while my SO sleeps. Thanks hobbyist software team.

Im no connoisseur of remote apps, but this one does a great job communicating with VLC on my laptop. No real complaints, and if they manage to make the headphone plugin work properly I couldnt imagine any other feature Id even want.

So worth the purchase until it began freezing up and crashing constantly. Just doesnt work anymore. Hopefully an update is in the works that will resolve this issue and I can once again give it 5 stars

Great app worth buying, works great I only wish you could re-sort playlist with it, however, the folder browsing and adding files is flawless!
